Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1976

Hello and Thank you for checking out my listing.
This is the 2nd of my collection of diesels that I selling. fyi-I have 3 left and will list later this year or early next.
The car is in good condition for a car this old. There is some rust on both rear floor pans.(see photos) I think this can be repaired for less that $500 with some good research.NO OTHER rust anywhere else. Very clean inside. (will clean up nice, it has been sitting and will need to be detailed) A real head-turner with the iconic mercedes lines and craftmanship.
I’m selling because I never drive my collection of cars and my wife will not ride with me in any of my diesels. (she prefers our Tesla). Also, the longer I let the cars sit without driving the more likey I will have maintenance issues such as what I have with this one.
Brief history of the car:I purchased this car a couple of years ago with the intention of using it as one of my daily drivers. I had the car shipped from my home in PA to Atlanta Autohaus in Roswell GA.
Atlanta Autohaus in Roswell GA did such a great job servicing my 1974 240D the year before, that I trusted that they would do the same for my 1976 300 D. So around July of 2015, off she went to atlanta for repairs. (see screen shot of invoice for repairs)
The car was ready for pick up later that winter. Sometime after I dropped the car off and the time I picked it up, the ownership of Atlanta Autohaus changed and somehow they forgot to contact me to let me know my car ws ready for pick-up.
However, because of my travel schedule and the unusually bad weather for the southern states had during the early part of 2016, I was unable to pick up the car until June of this year (2016).
When the weather and my schedule permitted I excitedly flew out to GA to pick up my car and drive it back. ( See youtube videos)
After picking up my car and driving the car for about the 30 miles, I noticed that I could not get past 65 MPH and decided to bring the car back.
I was told later that the car had sat for too long and that the fuel line and gas tank needed to be flushed and cleaned. I got an estimate from Atlanta Autohaus of $1400 to complete the repair.
You can have the repairs done at the shop where the car is, if you like unless of course you can get the fuel tank flushed and cleaned for less.
