Offered here for your inspection and consideration is this 1980 Mercedes 450sl. This SL is a rust free example that has spent the majority of its life in Arizona as an "occassional driver" for a retired couple that spend their winters in sunny, dry, warm Arizona.

Turned out in desirable Ivory (db623H) with tan interior and brown soft top and factory removable hard top. The speedometer shows 133,000 miles. The paint and body are excellent with very good paint finish, bright work, panel fit and finish. The interior is original and shows minimum wear on seat surfaces and carpet and one small crack at the dash pad. The sound system has been upgraded to an Alpine indash head with custom accessory speakers. All glass is very good, everything in the car functions as it should.

This Mercedes has been mechanically maintained by a local, independent Mercedes specialist and recent work includes routine maintenance, timing chains, guides and tensioners and a front crossmember replacement performed by the local Mercedes dealer under the Mercedes factory recall.

The car starts, stops, handles and drives very well with no issues. The a/c blows cold, heater and all accessories perform as they should.

The soft top, unused for several years is in need of the fabric replacement.

The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. Buyer to forward 10% of the total sales price within 3 days of auction close and the balance, in certified funds, within 10 days of close of auction. The car may remain in its present secure storage facility for an additional 30 days while the buyer makes travel and shipping arrangements.
