1974 MERCEDES-BENZ 450SL, CA CAR, VERY ORIGINAL.NICE!

Up for auction is a very correct and original 3 owner Mercedes 450SL. This 450 has spent its life in Central California and is very straight and rust free (see photos) The car has been repainted once a couple of decades ago in its original color of Byzanz Gold #422 and is still glossy and very presentable. There are a few small chips in the paint that have been touched up.The interior is in very good original condition with just a small tear in the drivers side foot well carpet. All the instruments work as do the power windows. All the lights, turn signals and horn work. The car has a working alarm with remote.The stereo is a newer Panasonic am/fm cd player. The air conditioning also works. The car comes with both a hardtop and soft top. The hardtop is in good condition apart from some damage it sustained while it was stored off the car (see photo) I have a pint of paint that comes with the car to repair it. The soft top is a lined cloth top in very good condition.This 450SL tracks down the road straight, shifts smoothly and does not overheat, smoke or knock. It also has great oil pressure (see photo of instrument cluster) The car does have an intermittent misfire. The car will run great some days and then all of a sudden it acts like its got bad fuel and then just like that it clears up. I have replaced the air temp sensor, the water temp sensor, the distributor cap andhad the injectors tested with no luck. I am listing it on Ebay for less than its worth due to this intermittent problem with the hope someone else will figure it out as I am not a Mercedes expert.
