Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1982
This was has been my daily driver for four years. It runs great. I had intended to drive it for the remainder of my life. however I will have need of a truck in the future and will have to sell it. The car runs and drives great. I drive it from Louisville to Chicago at least 4 times a year. as well as other trips and around town regularly. I never hesitate to drive it anywhere. The car has many small dents and chips in the paint. The sun roof works and does not leak. It had a flare on more shifts but. I changed the external servo seal. front clutch seal. pump seal and o-ring. but did not change the 2-3 piston seal. I have the balance of the complete transmission kit but not the time to install the parts. I have driven it with the 2-3 flare for quite some time and it is better when warm and shifts with a slight lift of the accelerator pedal when cold. The battery is less than a year old. The tires are about 9 months old. The wheels are 15" from a later model MB. The car took a frontal impact and I replaced the left head light bezel. turn signal and grille. I patched up the headlight bucket. The hood opens and closes well. I did not replace the fan and if it was I would expect the cool AC to improve to cooler or cold. Keep in mind that even if it gets cold the car has a large cabin and a lot of glass. I will include a few oil filters I have. and a new front crankshaft seal to possibly stop the small oil leak. I have replaced the problematic electric heater control valve with two Ford Pinto vacuum operated heater control valves. works great. The valves were adjusted at the last oil change. 2. 00 miles ago. All that said this is a good car. If you know the W123 or want to learn about them and are willing to do some work on one then this is a solid body (no structural weakness form rust. the car spent the early years of life in Georgia and Texas). Delivery. yes Delivery. I am willing to drive this car to you for $1. 00 a mile from zip 40213 to you zip code. Keep in mind if you are on the left coast it will cost you $3. 00 for this. but I am willing. You must pay for the car and delivery before I depart and I will need 2-4 weeks to adjust my schedule. I will help in any way to get the car to a shipper within 15 miles for free. I expect a $100 paypal deposit within 24 hours and the balance by pay pal or certified check with in 7 days. Good luck and hope she finds a good home. And yes it is full of fuel!
