Description for Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 1985
Goldie had her drive shaft let go on the road. The broken shaft damaged the gear shift linkage and oxygen sensor. I found a shifter rod after a long search. Two replacement drive shafts, the rod and linkage adjusters come with the car. I did not buy flex discs or the center U-Joint. I bout it with the wheels installed now and there is a full spare in the trunk that is mounted to the correct style for the car. The paint is fair to poor but there is no rust.Accessories work, no electrical problems, good brakes and good tires, though mismatched. Interior is remarkably good for a car this age though the carpet need to be replaced. The battery died and the car can't be started until the neutral safety switch is activated and that is not possible without the shifter being repaired. It will have to be transported.
I replaced a fuel pump and installed a new battery and drove this car a year before the driveshaft broke. It really is a good running car with a lot of potential but as you can see from my feedback I just took delivery of a boat and I don't have room or time for this project.
This is a no reserve auction and the winning bidder gets a clear title and a decent old Mercedes. Best of luck and thanks for stopping by!
