Description for Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 1971

I've had this car almost a year and have had very little time to spend on making it run and drive. It is a Washington State car originally, now in Arizona. No rust to speak of.All the parts are there, it's missing one fender spear and one corner trim piece for the rear window, also missing the stainless trim above the left rear tail light. Also missing is the fuel sending unit. I got the car from a plumber who had no idea how to work on cars. He took the intake off and the A/C compressor along with the fuel sending unit.I put the intake back on and did a compression test, all are 150-160. This car came with the 2.8L inline OHC six originally. It has two Zenith carbs and dual exhaust manifolds. The A/C compressor I found on EBay a while back and the compressor tests good. The bracket is there but not on the car. There are three sets of wheels for this car. Two are OEM Mercedes Diesel Wheels, one set chrome and one set painted with caps, The chrome set are pitted and need to be blasted and powder coated or re-chromed. The other OEM set are not coated and just need to be cleaned up and powder coated or painted. The radio is missing, though it came with a really cheesy one which is new in the box, but I would not use it, its a real cheap one, with a cassette. The third set of wheels are aftermarket 17" aluminum and are currently on the car... They look okay on the car. I can't really say anything about the drive train other than it does not leak a drop from anything.I have 9 project cars and thought this would be my ultimate little "Hot rod Benz, but alas I am not able to speak German and really know little about German engineering.I'm 35+ year tech from a Rolls Bentley Cadillac Dealership and GM dealerships. I am fluent in GM, Chrysler, Ford as well as Japanese cars.I have never been into VW, Porsche or Mercedes Benz. These cars are not my expertise in any way shape or form.I need to let this one go to someone who understands German cars....The center "console" where the radio mounts is not pictured, but I do have it.All I want to do is make my initial cost back.Car is in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I turned in the Original Title out of Washington State and new AZ title shows original mileage at 63,xxx.I will help with shipping, i.e. getting it on a trailer, I do have a winc, it's up to you whether you want to pick it up or ship it.I will include the Clymer's manual with the sale.
Help an old man out and take this from my plate! It will make my wife much happier with a project gone.
