Description for Mercedes-Benz G-Class 1990

FOR SALE: 1990 Mercedes Benz 250GD "WOLF"VIN: WDV46140117068123
I'm selling myincredible Mercedes 250GD! It's fully restored, looks amazing, and draws an audience everywhere it goes! I'm serious, EVERYONE loves this truck! Stand out, be different, and get noticed! It's a lot of fun!!
Restored in Germany!
Mechanical:- OM602 5-Cylinder Diesel 49,700 miles (80,000 kilometer)- *Million-Mile Engine* - Extremely Reliable- Rebuilt 5-Speed HD Transmission including Low Gear- New SACHS HD Clutch- Full Front & Rear Locking Differentials- New BREMBO Brake Kit- 2" Coil Spring Suspension Lift
Cosmetic:- Mercedes Mellow Yellow Paint!- Grill Guard, Light Cages, Extended Flares, New Top, Jerry-can/plate holder, Tire Carrier with matching spare, Aftermarket Rear Taillights- True Mercedes Steel Wheels with Mercedes wheel cap- 33x12.50-15 Mud Terrains
Interior:- New MBTex Captains Chairs- New Kenwood Bluetooth Radio (very subtle, I wanted something clean and simple that looks like it could have been thereoriginally. I think we nailed it.)- Custom 2-Speaker Pod under dash. Matching Vinyl Wrap. Again subtle was the idea!
If you're not veryfamiliar with the original military G-Class you may not immediately notice the extras that this one already has installed. Theoriginal snorkel kit, rear jerry-can/plate holder, G63 brush guard, front/signal light cages, extended wheel flares, original Mercedes steel wheels, etc. can be very difficult to find and costly.
The truck drives excellently!! Engine, transmission, axles, clutch, brakes, steering etc. are in great condition and operate with zero issues! Tracks straight, brakes straight, turns in great, steering centers without issue, power steering is great, brakes are great, clutch is nice, easy, and smooth. No grinding, weird noises, chatter, whining axles... It's not a fast truck by any means but it'll do everything you want to do. It will do a very controlled, stable, comfortable, "one-finger on the wheel" 65mph. That'll put you cruising the right lane and keeping with traffic just about anywhere. It'll go faster but I'm in no hurry and for me there's just no need to push it or the engine. But if you need it, hammer down, and make that pass. It'll do it.
The suspension and ride is very smooth. The truck is heavy and you feel it. It's very solid. I've driven a lot of older vehicles, to include many CJ Jeeps, it is entirely different. No bouncing around with a harsh ride. It is very stable and soft. Your wife/girlfriend will like it.
Windows rolled up, radiojammin',rowin' gears .. You're set, and it's a kick-ass day!!
Mechanically, cosmetically, electrically... it's complete and ready to go!
Be sure to check out all the pics! There's some good ones of the restoration in progress! Also, watch the walk-around video I took!! That'll give you a real good idea of just exactly how amazing the G is!
