Description for Mercedes-Benz E-Class 1989

This car had been sitting for awhile when I got it. I cleaned the fuel tank and replace the fuel pumps. It ran and drove very well for a couple days. Started having issues with the fuel pumps cutting out and stalling. Then it completely quit and will only run with the fuel pump wired directly to the battery. I assume it's a fuel pump relay. It runs very strong when it's running right. I own about 30 Mercedes from the sixties, seventies and early eighties and I really don't care to put any more time or money to work out the little bugs in a car of this generation. The interior is in very good condition except for the carpet which is stained and spotty. The seats are in excellent condition except for the folding 3rd row which is broken. The dashboard has no cracks and the door panels are all very good. Power windows all work fine. The body doesn't have any rust holes a few spots around the jack holes have some surface rust. There is a dent on the passenger fender top. The paint is bad on the hood and some upper body and the driver side plastic headlight surround is missing. The Wheels on the car in the picture are not included it will have the factory 15 x 6" 15 hole Wheels. With the low mileage on the drivetrain I can pull it out and sell it separately for more than my reserve price but the car is worth saving to someone more familiar with these later generation cars.
