Koenig Special Tribute 500-SL car from the era when AMG had parted ways with Mercedes and Koenig was the tuner of choice. This car has staggered 3 piece allwheels with fairly new rubber. Koenig exhaust which is very nice and not too loud. lowered slightly with slightly stiffer progressive springs so much better cornering without the choppy ride. and some engine tuning. I am a 57 year old guy and have enjoyed this car as a summer cruiser but the time has come to have something more age appropriate as I am pushing 60 now. The car is fast and handles very good for a sport touring car. I have had this car since 44. 00 miles and have done all the mechanical small stuff that has needed doing. Most everything works but there is a "list" of things to do to finish the restoration I have started. nbsp; 66. 00 miles and I am the second owner. I have been restoring the car for the last 10 years and have all the mechanical and most of the exterior in good shape. This is not a perfect car and the things I am working on now include the interior lights. a turn signal. new speakers. The soft top is in OK shape but needs to be refreshed in a year or two. Carpets and seats are in good shape. Paint is good. Overall a good looker but not perfect. Tinted glass in hard top and lightly tinted glass on side windows. This is a very unique collector car that is very easy to finish restoring to prime condition.
