Description for Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 1993
1993 190e 2.3L Special Edition Vehicle (W201)
Emerald Green
93,5xx miles (I’ve owned for the last few years and put about 3k miles on it—I have 5 cars).
Well cared for by veteran mercedes mechanic (happy to connect you if you have questions about the car’s condition).
This car has pretty much every feature available at the time to the most expensive Mercedes.
The car spent most of it’s early life in Texas with a physician, was sold once there, sold to California, and I bought it from the owner a few months later. It’s a weekend car now.
Everyone who ‘meets’ this car remarks at how they’ve rarely seen one in this condition. It has some paint flaws (though far better than you’d expect for 24 years) and I’ve highlighted the the portion of the leather backseat that needs addressed at the seam.
Overall, nice paint and wheels, original interior carpets in good condition (I have them covered with generics for now) and leather seats smell great and are springy.
Additions I’ve made:
Professionally replaced the long engine block about 2k miles ago with another engine of 90,000 miles (certified). All hoses, connections, etc. also replaced at that time to preserve engine warranty.
The unit already had a modern Sony deck (DVD, MP3, Bluetooth)
Back up camera
Replaced all speakers (Pioneer)
New Battery
Engine blanket replaced
Previous owner swapped for Euro Headlights.
Another collector made some prototype rear view mirrors that copied the original mirror but added (homeland for your garage, auto-dimming, and a compass). I had my mechanic install this correctly to ensure electrical synergy :)
Added original Euro Emergency Triangle
Things you want to know:
The antennae doesn’t go up/down (you still get reception)
The rubber casings for the side mirrors need replaced (I have new ones)
The child-lock window switch needs replaced (I have a new one).
The vacuum line for the driver’s lock isn’t connected to the rest of the car-You lock from the trunk or the passenger side.
