Original owner purchased this vehicle brand new at Ray Catena
All original un-restored example.
Original Orient red paint (code 501) has a show quality shine and well compliment by bright and clear brightwork.
Interior is exceptionally well maintained.
MB-Tex Palomino (Code 134) is in incredible condition and seat padding is firm.
Engine bay and undercarriage are meticulously clean factory decals and markings still present.
Cadmium plated components are still bright gold even underneath the car!
The original muffler still has the painted stamp on it from the factory.
The vehicle runs and drives 100% and I recently took this vehicle on a 200 mile trip to Bedford NY.
The vehicle was entered into the private "Turtle Garage Invitational" where it shared the lawn with some of the most valuable and collectible cars on the a East Coast.
I had to bring this very special car, as I knew it would be the only C123 diesel present.
The car drove beautifully in the "Indian Summer" 90 degree heat at 70 mph with the cruise control set and the AC running.
The original owner of this 300CD was a NY based physician who passed away in 2016.
I purchased the vehicle from the estate shortly thereafter and upon inspection I could tell that this vehicle was well cared for.
All belts, hoses, mounts, and electrical were inspected and a change of the fluids was completed.
The AC system as previously stated is in proper working order and still blows ice cold.
Original Becker Stereo head unit sound great and power antenna functions 100%.
The M617 five cylinder turbodiesel motor is considered to be most durable motor ever produced for an automobile.
Not uncommon for these motors to travel well in excess off 500,000 miles with just routine maintenance.
The vehicle come with original books, keys, as well as original tools, first aid kit and spare tire in order.
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer un-restored example on the planet !!!
