Description for Mercedes-Benz G-Class 1980
This G Wagen was imported from the Netherlands and has an OM603 TurboDiesel with a 5-Speed manual transmission. Very clean overall and straight for a classic W460 G Wagen. Drives and shifts well, goes up to freeway speeds easily.Has the correct G wagen specific turbodiesel oil pan, a valuable part! NOT the common sedan oil pan.
No rust on the frame or anything major. There appears to be minor corrosion under the tail light at the rear, which is a common spot for these Gs. The rear corner sheet metal can still be purchased new from Mercedes, but overall the rust for a G of this vintage is very good. Only other noticeable spots are under the rear door or 2, but again minor. Runs and drives great, although the battery is on its way out, I will have a new one installed for the buyer.
The truck was repainted in the metallic dark grey and the interior was reupholstered in black leather. Seats are clean with no rips. Interior is clean.
Note: the snorkel in the pictures has since been removed so there are holes left over in the fender from it. Will need to reinstall a snorkel or just get them patched up. The original airbox will be included.
The passenger side mirror is off in the pictures, but a spare one will be included.
Titled as a 1980 year with about 90,000 Kilometers (or 56,000 miles). All importation paperwork was done correctly and it currently has a Montana title and registration, in hand. Front and Rear differential locks.
