Selling my 300D Mercedes, 1982
I love this car but I don't have time to work on it anymore so it's time for it to go to a new home.
The good
Great engine, low mileage for a diesel, no cracks on dashboard, roof rack included, drives great, runs on biofuel, can be upgraded to run on veggie, modern radio with removable faceplate, extra parts and manuals, great DIY car for handy person
Needs replacing
tires ok for now but will need to be replaced, needs tuneup- I have mostly everything you need to tune up, drivers side window motor needs replacing, dash lights very dim, floor carpets.
The reason for the salvage title is that I took it to an auto body shop to fix a water leak and the insurance company totaled the car. It's never been in an accident but has a couple of small dents from parking in the city. I didn't know that the insurance company was going to do that or I wouldn't have brought it to the shop. It just means you can't get collision insurance, if it gets in an accident you have to pay out of pocket to fix it. I can show you the report from the insurance.
