Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1984
This classic 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300 SD Turbo Diesel (W126) is one of the more rare, hard to find models. This is the S-Class luxury sedan with a 5 cyl. Turbo Diesel engine that is well known to reach the one-million mile mark. It comes with power windows and power sunroof. The rear windows do need motor/regulator to work again. The sunroof works perfectly. The leather is in fairly good condition for its age with only minor cracking due to daily use. Runs and drives great, it has been my daily driver since I bought it a year ago. It does need a few minor fixes. The turn signals and gauge lights have shorted out. I was told that there is a module on the ignition switch that is the most likely culprit and should be a fairly simple fix. The heat/AC control panel needs to be replaced. (I broke it trying to trace the short in turn signals.) The front passenger wheel doesn’t match. The matching wheel was too damaged after a tire shop cross threaded the lug bolts and they had to be cut out. Aside from those few minor issues, it’s a great car. If I were more mechanically inclined I would keep it and restore it myself, however, that’s far from my area of expertise. The list price new in 1984 was $40,000. It’s current value on NADA Classics and Hagerty’s is between $3,500 and $11,000. You can also find them on eBay and AutoTrader within that same price range, with some of them reaching as high as $15,000 in mint condition.*****. ***We offer services and/or have shippingpartners that can have the vehicle shipped via car hauler or private carrier anywhere beyond 250 miles of its locationwithin the continentalUSA for $875.00.
