What you are bidding on is a nearly restored 1982 Mercedes 300 CD coupe. Along with this purchase, if you want it, you will also receive a 1983 Mercedes 300 TD wagon that restoration has been started on. Winning bidder is responsible for pickup and shipping costs of both vehicles should they chose to take them both, but the auction is for the coupe and it will convey to winner regardless of the wagon. Both vehicles are also for sale locally and seller reserves the right to terminate auction at any time should vehicles sell locally before auction ends.
Details on the Coupe:1982 model just over 119,300 original milesFull mechanical restoration - engine, transmission both fully serviced and all seals and gaskets replaced. New injectors, glow plugs, valve adjustment, injection pump rebuilt, vacuum pump, starter, alternator, A/C compressor all replaced. New tires (2017), repainted in 2017, new palomino Mercedes seat covers installed and seats rebuilt in 2017. Car only needs a few cosmetic items to finish restoration which include: reconditioning of interior side panels where seat belt enters side panel, rear window has typical fogging at the corners, Zambrano wood is starting to crack / separate, moonroof needs to be serviced (working, but slow to open & close), rear trunk lock is finicky, A/C needs a recharge.
Details on the Wagon:1983 model with about 250,000 miles on it.Has been mechanically reconditioned and is the zippiest wagon I’ve ever owned. This includes new motor mounts, accumulator rebuild, injectors, glow plugs, upgraded Klima Cool A/C system (compressor, condenser, all AC lines, expansion valve, receiver/drier, switches and sensors, upgraded fan). Seats have been recovered, roof liner has been removed and a new one purchased, but it is not installed. This cars still needs to have vacuum pods replaced so that all vents work and to have the cosmetic interior work finished. A viper alarm system and remote lock system has also been installed along with a new Bluetooth radio.
