Up for sale is this 1986 Mercedes-Benz LPS1525 NG 6-SPEED TURBODIESEL. VIN 1MBZB80A6GN800447, have title and was registered in North Carolina. I'm checking the mileage but it's about 45K. Will confirm and update listing.
This is a small semi truck, single axle, cab-over with high-torque Turbo charged and inter-cooled 5-cylinder diesel engine. I have a video of truck with engine running. This has the Mercedes DIESEL OM429LA engine producing 250 HP runs strong and sounds crisp for its age.
Rugged double-wall steel single cab-over sealed against corrosion by an exclusive multi-stage rust-proofing process. Freshly new paint, minor rust, and needs one new tire.
It drivers everywhere but can't go faster than 40 mph because only the 1st and 2nd gear work. It might have been used as a yard truck and there's a govern. Someone tried shifting to the 3rd gear once and it triggered some kind of alarm.
This is a classic Mercedes small semi truck that looks like a UNIMOG or a German Military Truck. Measures approximately 8' wide, 9' height, 20' length, perfect project to make it an Expedition truck, a camper or an RV.
