Description for Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 1980

1984 Mercedes Benz 230E with 82,681 original miles. Nice looking classic Mercedes sedan! Presents well, starts easily, new tires and brakes. Runs like a top. No smoke from the engine. The automatic transmission has just been serviced (new filter and fluid) and shifts perfectly.

The interior is in great condition. It has the Zebrano wood on the dash and the shifter plate is also the Zebrano type plate. The seats are nice and firm, no rips or tears. The door panels are all very nice. The carpet is very clean. The dash is about perfect except for 1 hair line crack that is easy to over look unless you are nit picking it.

The body looks real decent for a 35 year old car. The paint looks very presentable, it's a 7 put of 10 IMO. Has some imprefections but nothing that jumps out at you unless you are looking real close. There is a sun bleach spot in the roof (see pic). BTW It has a sun roof and it opens and closes without any issues. The hood has some blemishes (see pic). There is a minor very small spot of rust on the driver side rear door above the trim strip (see pic) and there are like 3 very small bubbles under the paint on the passenger side on the wheel arch (see pic). Over all the car looks very nice and the blemishes mentioned are not major issues. Minor cosmetic stuff expected on an unrestored 35 year old car. All is easily addressed and not expensive to fix. The car presents very well though inside and out. The trunk is solid and clean and sports a spare and the original jack.
The 2.3L gas engine runs great. Per the online data I have found these cars average 27-30MPG so you'll be able to go awhile between fill ups. Gas prices are always going up...having a car that is easy on gas helps. I have a 454 in my truck with a 42 gallon tank...its costly to keep gas in it!! This one is MUCH cheaper on gas! This Mercedes Benz has 82,681 ACTUAL miles on it. I do drive it on nice days sometimes so the mileage may be slightly higher upon delivery. But it reads 82,681 today. A web reference I found said keep the oil changed and these cars will rack up intergalactic miles. Not sure how many miles that is....but it's a lot I guess LOL!

This car has a clear CLEAN Ohio (no salvage or flood) title no leins, ready for the new owner. It's just had new brakes put on it. It has new tires also. The classic wheels have the original hub caps and beauty rings and they ALL look really good! The exhaust is quiet, no issues. The AC is not currently working it may just need a charge. Ive not messed with it. Overall, this is a very nice looking, great running, unrestored classic Mercedes Benz sedan. These cars usually will get 300K miles or more before needing a rebuild from what Ive read and this one runs there's lots of miles still left on this classic. Its built like a tank and its a very safe car to put your loved ones in.

Ive tried my best to give an accurate description of this fine classic automobile. Any issues it has that I am aware of I have disclosed. As with any classic, no warranty is expressed or implied. I guarantee what I said about the car is true as I see it. Just as if I was buying it, Ive noted the things I'd want to be aware of. If you want to have an inspection done by and independent 3rd party I will provide the car to them for inspection at my location. If you want to do that you must pay for it and make the arrangements and let me know when they will be here. You are also welcome and encouraged to come look at the car in person....again, just let me know when if youd like to do that. If you need more information please ask any and all questions BEFORE you bid. Thanks for looking and good luck!!
