Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1982
1982Mercedes-Benz300TD Wagon
Very rare and highly sought after 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon. This W123 Turbodiesel Wagon combines the bulletproof reliability of the OM617 iron head engine with a powerful turbocharger. Only Mercedes diesels produced in 1981 to 1985 offered this extremely robust combination of reliability and performance.
This wagon has always been very well maintained. The 3.0L Inline 5 cylinder Turbodiesel engine runs strong and the four speed automatic transmission shifts as it should. The Self-Leveling-Suspension (SLS) feels solid, and there is no sagging in the rear end. The body is straight and quite clean as can be seen in the pictures. All of the trim is intact and complete. The interior is especially clean, free of odors and moisture, and is very well preserved.
Currently, I have too many vehicles with limited space for parking and must lean out my collection. This Mercedes has just been pulled out of the garage after nearly two years in storage. Prior to this, it was driven daily. I started it up a week ago and it fired right up. Since then however, it has been very difficult to start. Due to the extended time spent in storage, please assume that this wagon is non-running until it is serviced first by a qualified mechanic.
When bidding on this vehicle, please understand that it is a pre-owned vintage car and is not new, or in untouched, museum quality condition. This wagon would be perfect for someone who is familiar with these cars or knows someone who is. This very rare Mercedes-Benz W123 Turbodiesel Wagon represents an exceptional investment; because of its general scarcity and desirability, experts agree that these W123 Turbodiesel Wagons are sure to significantly appreciate in value in the coming years.
This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. Only bid on this auction if you are serious about owning this vehicle and will follow through on the terms and conditions stated herein. Test drives and in-person inspections are welcomed and encouraged, but must completed prior to the end of the auction. Please ask any and all questions that you have before placing a bid. This is a No Reserveauction meaning that the car will sell to the highest bidder; however, I am open to all reasonable offers prior to the close of the auction so it is suggested not to wait before placing a bid.A $300 nonrefundable deposit is due at the close of the auction through PayPal and must be received immediately after the auction's end. The remaining balance is due within Three (3) business days without exception via bank wire, bank check, or cash. I am happy to help organize professional transport of the wagon to you anywhere in the country at the most competitive rates available following the sale. Thank you and good luck!
