Description for Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 1959
Selling for No Reserve. Final bid wins the 190SL. After sitting unused for 3 decades. Colonel Robinson Minick’s 190SL was ready for some serious refurbishing. The Colonel did make some headway years ago but was unsuccessful at finishing the restoration. The subsequent elderly owner undertook the responsibility of restoring the cosmetics by way of a respray in silver and re-plating the chrome. However. advancing age meant he was just not able to see the project through to fruition and he sold the car before enjoying it completed. He provided records that date the car back to 1967 with ownership history and the original handbook group. This is an original car sold in California with desirable Black license plates. This car has been parked in a garage in San Francisco for the past 30 years. The license tags still show 1983. Actual mileage is believed to be 80k miles according to records and ownership history.
