Description for Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 1959
This Mercedes was originally sold in Paris, France, then brought to the States in 1960 by the original owner. It received some mechanical attention around 2010 with the suspension, brakes, exhaust, cooling system, and fuel system gone through. It also received some cosmetics like new rear taillights and seals. I purchased the car from the original owner's wife several years ago. The car runs, drives, steers, and brakes very well for a 60 year old car. Most of the gauges and lights work with the exception of the front fog lights and front blinkers. The blinkers do not have bulbs, but I have the lenses as well as many other spare parts. The missing trim on the passenger side is included as well as the interior, door, and interior window trim that is not currently installed. The original radio is included, but I do not know if it works because it isn't currently connected, however it does come with more original Becker documentation than any other radio I've ever seen. All five wheels have been powder-coated in the original color and the tires have few miles on them, but the four exterior tires do have some dry rot. The original tool kit is in the trunk. There is very little rust on the car as seen in the pictures, but it does have a little bit. This car could benefit from a cosmetic restoration or just drive and enjoy as is. The odometer is 5 digits and does work, but true mileage is unknown because it could have gone past 100k.
The original manuals are included as well as a partial service history, some of which date back to the 1960s. Also included is the original documentation and service for the radio.
