1970 Mercedes-Benz 220D Sedan. For sale an immaculate example of a W115 chassis. This vehicle comes with complete service history from day one as well as substantial documentation from the restoration. This vehicle is turn key meaning. get in it and drive without worry. Completely serviced and it runs like a Swiss watch. A California car it's whole life has found it's way to Minnesota where it has not seen so much as rain. The restoration was based on a clean. low mileage. and most importantly RUST FREE car. The clutch was also replaced with a new Sachs unit (The original clutch manufacturer) and the shift bushings were also all replaced. That was done no more than 2. 00 miles ago and clutch contact happens at the very bottom of pedal travel and produces noise/chatter/vibration free function. Following that the seats were all removed. stripped of their horse hair padding and new pads were installed giving the seats a like new feel and look. Then the vehicle was completely stripped of all exterior cladding as well as the front and rear windows and stripped to bare metal and re-sprayed the original color including the door and trunk jambs. After that all seals from window to door seals were replaced with NOS OEM parts. There was and is no evidence of rust anywhere on the car. no cracks in the dash and no discoloring on the interior trim. The original Blaupunkd radio works perfectly and even has mechanical pre-sets that all work. The carpets are excellent with no staining or wear evident. though I have no documentation on the carpet I assume it was also replaced with original carpets. There is not a single nick. scratch. or dent anywhere on the bodywork. The European headlamps have no evidence of internal corrosion or chips in the glass and the rear lenses have no fading or spiderweb cracks as are common.
