Description for Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 1978
Selling my 1978 Mercedes 450SL Classic collector car. This Mercedes was sitting for a very long time. The mileage is a low 98,423. Over the last year I replaced the tires with new Michelin’s. Complete new brakes including rotors, calipers, pads hoses sensors and fluid on all four wheels. Inspected and repacked all wheel bearings. I replaced all front end steering links and aligned the front end. Recently Serviced and replaced all the fluids and filters. The car starts and runs excellent. It has a new convertible top and comes with a hoist to attach to the roof of your garage to lift the hard top off the car. Also has a rolling cart to store the hard top. It has a new car cover in the trunk for outside protection. The interior is in very good condition as well as the wood. Someone did repaint the car however they missed a few spots. I was going to have the few spots repainted but decided to reduce the price and let the next owner continue to restore this Mercedes to its original condition. The value for this car I have found in this condition on average runs over 10 thousand dollars. My reserve is very low. Looking to get back what I put into it. Way below market value.Over $5,000.00 invested.Good luck on bidding.
I am a disabled Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran; My war wounds and age are getting the better of me. As much as I would like to re-finish this beauty, it is time to let it go to the next collector and enjoy this ride.
