You are bidding on a one owner 1978 Mercedes 450SL Convertible with both tops and lots of service records. At the bottom of this description is 2 videos please check those out. This is a very well maintained and beautiful Mercedes. The car is Signal Red with Tan interior. It has the 4.5L V8 engine with automatic transmission. The car starts and runs and drives great! You should be able to drive this car anywhere! The car has both hard and soft tops. The car comes with the original owners manuals (as you can see in the picture) as well as several service records.

Dr. Issenberg bought this car new for his wife from World Wide Motors (the Mercedes dealer in Indianapolis IN.) The warranty booklet has the original Kardex card in it and shows all the mantance from March 1978 until October 2013. All service has been performed by World Wide Motors, and Euro Motorworks Inc. (a highly respected European repair shop in Indianapolis). I have several service records from Euro Motorworks.

This is a great car that you can get in and drive and enjoy as it is. The car has had a repaint several years ago and is not perfect but it is still nice and very presentable. The interior is all original and the dash has No Cracks. The drivers seat does have a few seams that have come loose as you can see in the pictures and my video. Again this is a very nice car. It has Michelin Tires on it that are very smooth and like new. I wouldn’t be afraid to get in this car and drive it anywhere. This is a great car to drive to the car show or cruise in!
