I recently purchased this car from a friend. Its originally from North Carolina (originally Florida according to the autocheck report) .This car was originally a 300TE, but someone properly swapped an om603 turbo (3.0L) into it. Supposedly the previous owner did not have it long before overheating and sat for a few years after that.It was poorly (and surprisingly) running and driving when i got it (message for video).
After removing the head, it can be seen that one of the valves had a major failure: Now bent and stuck in the head, as well as damage to adjacent cylinder/piston.so I bought a spare om603 from the junkyard.
Now the top half is removed, but I left the bottom half inside with accessories attached. The original motor (603 016 22 01) has cleaner accessories on it, and the plan was to swap accessories with the salvage yard om603 (603 016 17 01). The spare om603 i pulled has 296,000 miles, it seemed to crank manually, looks like it had been sitting for a while and probably one of the accessories died, i havent taken anything off it yet.

The door locks, windows and moonroof are all working.. The interior leather is in great condition, some of the paneling could use some love. the body is in excellent condition, may need a paintjob, seals are all looking great. exhaust looks clean, underbody great (tiny rust near suspension). no dents. all of the exterior parts are there. a few may need to be replaced.
This should be an easy job for anyone with a little bit of time, money, and dedication. But i literally dont have the extra time/energy for this project. Truly my loss, but i unfortunately i need the money
