Description for Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL 1990
Vehicle DetailsThis is a special order, full option 560 SEL. You will not find another one like this. It was custom built for a corporation in Japan where it served as its prestige flagship vehicle to drive VIPs from and to the office. I have the original Japanese service records. It was then sold to me via someone that handles these special imports from Japan, primarily back to Europe. I therefore bought this car in Holland and shipped it to the US.
Since then I have had the car fully CARB certified, put on brand new tires according to OEM specs and had it generally overhauled. All electrical systems work as they should. The car looks and drives inline with showroom/mint condition. it has 43,000 KM (roughly 29,000 miles) on the clock since new. Wear and tear on the car has been minimal throughout the years. I did decide to overhaul the transmission last year as I thought he gear changes could be smoother. Since then the car drives even smoother and better than before.
All in all 10s of thousands of dollars spend on the car, California CARB certification alone was over $10k.
The car is fantastic and needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
So why am I selling? I have a cars passion problem. I recently added a 1943 Jeep Willys and I am now officially out of garage space. I am looking for someone who will truly love this car as much as I do. No need to sell in a hurry.
Please do ask all questions you may have. The biggest favor you can do for me is to not buy my car from me so that I can go back to my wife and tell her I tried to sell it and unfortunately it didn't sell so I need to keep it ;-)
