The Mercedes-Benz 500E is one of the company's more interesting models.Introduced for the 1992 model year, the 500 E was part of theW124 Sedan, and was a collaboration between Mercedes-BenzandPorsche. As Mercedes were entirely focused ontheir newS-Class, they hired Porsche to accomodate a 5.0LV8 engine in the front of the car as well as tune the chassis to be able tohandle the increased power. Painstakingly assembled, each handbuilt car took 18days to complete.
