The 220SE features a unitized body/frame construction and fully independent suspension. Fitted with a 2. 2 L straight 6 engine. aluminum head. overhead camshaft. and Bosch mechanical fuel injection. Only 1. 12 open top examples were ever produced worldwide. According to a copy of the original Mercedes-Benz DataCard. this particular 220SE is a very late August 1960 example built to North American specifications in White Grey over Red Leather upholstery.
