Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1970
1970 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6. 3 for sale. This is a good driver and not a garage queen. It is well received at the MBCA shows that I have taken it to. It does not get driven in the snow or rain. (The pictures taken were just in my driveway with no salt exposure. ) Good: This 6. 3 is in very good mechanical condition. It has 68. 00 original miles. I’ve spent over 5. 00 in repairs in the last 4 years. Including all new transmission seals. new exhaust. new oil cooler. new hood pad. many other new hoses and seals. and more. I have documentation to show the repairs. However I do not have documentation for repairs prior to my ownership. The air conditioning and heater both work. The suspension works excellent. It will hold air and its height for up to two weeks or more. Starts right up every time without any issues. All of the lights work as well as windows and electronics. Door locks do work and lock and unlock properly. The transmission shifts properly through all the gears. Minor Issues: While the car is in great mechanical condition it does have some cosmetic flaws as it is 45 years old and mostly original. I will do my best to be thorough with the cosmetic flaws that I have found. I encourage you to come and inspect the car for yourself. The chrome is in good shape but there are a few pieces that have some minor pitting on them. They shine up nice look good from a distance. The interior wood pieces will need refinished. There is a crack in the dashboard you can see in the pictures. The horn pad also has a small crack in it. The steering wheel has also been wrapped in leather. The leather is in good shape. The previous owner has replaced the front seat covers. however the rear seat is the original leather. The carpets are all original with newer Coco Mats. I do also have the original floor mats although they are pretty worn. The antenna and radio work but the original Becker cassette player does not work. There are a few paint chips in the hood and on the wheel covers. Not noticeable from a distance but can be seen up close. Any questions please feel free to ask. I am working on taking more pictures including pictures of the underbody. When I have them I will post them. ** If you are the winning bidder a $500 deposit via Paypal is due within 48 hours. The balance is due upon picking up the car. cash or certified bank check. or transfer. I will assist in shipping. arrangements to be made by the winning bidder.
