For sale is a 1979 Mercedes Benz 240D in overall fair condition. 169. xx miles on the motor and tranny. Car is originally from Georgia. was brought up to Michigan a few years back by an older couple. I have a service book that contains all repairs/maintenance up til when it was brought to Michigan. Recent valve adjustment. starts right up on the first turn of the key. Car will refuse to shift out of 2nd into 3rd until it has had 3 or 4 minutes to warm up. I believe it just needs some transmission seal conditioner. After it warms up. it runs and drives just fine. It is currently my daily driver. Odometer and speedometer both function correctly. as well as the clock on the dash. The car being a 4 cyl non-turbo diesel is very slow. as I'm sure you are aware. I seem to think it might be a bit TOO slow? I struggle to get it up to 70 mph on the highway. All filters have been changed within the month. and I have ran a container of syraight diesel purge through the injectors. Doesn't seem to be suffering from fuel starvation. All badges/hood star are intact. Car will come with an aftermarket HU with AUX input. and a 10" subwoofer and amp. I've listed everything I know about the car to the best of my abilities.
