Description for Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 1986
You are bidding on my 1986 Mercedes 190e 2.3-16v Cosworth that I decided to sell due to lack of space and time. I purchased the car a little while back and my initial plan was to restore it and be able to own a rare and timeless machine. After keeping the car for a while I have decided that I unfortunately will not be able to make any time to proceed the restoration project with this Cossy. I am putting it up for auction hoping to find a right buyer for it who can either restore it or use it as a donor car for another Cosworth. The car was more of a barn find and all I have done was store it for the past couple of months in a storage lot until today. What you see in the pictures is basically how i got the car and I have not touched anything other than wiping down the dust to take the pictures.Pros:I don’t see any rust under the car or in engine bay. The only part that is rusted is a little bit of surface rust where the left door/quarter panel is damaged as shown in the pictures. The trunk also has a little bit of rust where the space wheel should be. No rust under it.Passenger seat rear seat and door panels all look like they are in very good shape with no tears etc. The headliner is in very decent shape too with no sagging. There doesn’t seem to be any structural damage on the car due to the minor door/quarter panel damage on the left rear door.90% of the interior pieces etc were all inside the car and I have taken pictures of all of them.Engine bay is completely untouched and seems to be in good shape. All body panels are intact and seem to be the original ones.Cons:The car does not come with a transmission. It seems like the previous owner took it out to do a manual swap but never proceeded with the project. The differential and driveshaft along with the pedals etc are all included with the car.The cluster is missing and so is the shifter etc. Those did not come with the car when I purchased it. That is why there is quite a bit of wiring exposed in the pictures.Damaged on the left rear door/quarter panel.Tears on the driver seat.Needs paint on the hood roof and trunk. The rest of the car will be fine with a good buff and polish no rust/major oxidation on the rest of the car.Car has a California Clean title and I have it course. No lien sales etc. Buyer is responsible for shipping but I can assist with shipping etc if the car is sold to an out of state buyer. If you have any questions please ask away. I do have more pictures of the car and can provide any pictures requested. Good luck!!
