The general condition of this original '64 Mercury Comet is #@*%ing Incredible! It is a SINGLE OWNER, NTOUCHED, URVIVOR, nd it has been carefully maintained to pleasure both collectors and enthusiasts alike. It was owned by a meticulous gentleman and driven until 1999 where it was put away in his garage. This original condition Comet has the original L6 200 motor and 2-speed transmission. It has been thoughtfully cared for to keep it original. It has smooth vintage paint with a lovely patina that shows its survival of more than 50 YEARS. The original owner used spray paint/primer on the spots where the paint started chipping, nd this can be removed with lacquer thinner to expose the original paint. The body/metal is SUPER straight and there is ZERO RUST OR ROT ANYWHERE on the car. The curb appeal is VERY NICE! The moment you step into the drivers seat, ou'll feel the past come rushing at you like a pair of peg legs and big ole side burns. The inside has been meticulously maintained in original condition & patina. The vinyl seats are original and have split in a few places, nd the carpet is original and pretty much spotless. This car was pulled from the old man's garage where it sat since 1999. This is a car that has been maintained to drive and enjoy. Mechanical Description

This Comet was built to please! The engine is a L2 200 with original carburetor and intake. It has a smooth automatic transmission and shifts tight. The engine fires right up from stone cold. The 2-speed automatic transmission shifts great. The factory A/C is in place and needs a compressor and new fittings to get it running good. Brakes are tight. All the service records and maintenance logs are present in the glove box. And get this, here are maintenance door tags from 1975! . EVERY. LAST. PAPER. Everything appears to work nicely. Tires are older and probably would last another few thousand miles. One may want to fit the car with some nice wheels and tires to fit their preference. We have access to a LARGE inventory of wheels and tires for old classic cars and trucks. As with all used cars no express warranties are implied. The exterior of this Comet is ORIGINAL and will draw the attention of any Comet Fanatic who sees it. The undercarriage is solid with ABSOLUTELY ZERO rot or rust through on the entire vehicle. It is in AMAZING original condition. It has a very smooth and solid body as you can tell in the photos with only minor imperfections that show its age gracefully. The spotless chrome and trim pieces show off a wonderful patina that mirror it's age as a 50 year old classic. It has been carefully maintained and appears to have NEVER been painted ever in its life, nd there is no evidence of any body damage anywhere.
