"Perfect Christmas Gift" Rare 1973 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible Only 3166 were Built. How many do you think are left. When was the Last time you saw one???. This is a Survivor Car with only 60. 22 Actual Miles. Last Year for the Cougar Convertible. That makes it a Collector car for sure. The Paint looks Good from 5 feet away. Driver Quality Paint. "I would just Drive this car and enjoy it. " Doors Shut Real Nice. Gaps everywere on this car are Very Nice. If you wanted to make it a Show Car. Very Easy re-paint on this car because the Body is so Straight. Very minor rust because this has been Always Garage kept all of its life. The only rust I have found was on the lower tip of the quarter panels. About half the size of a 50 cent piece. Perfect Floor. Trunk and Rockers. No Rust at all in Shock Towers. Being it is an old Lacquer paint job. it does have some checkingThe guy I got it from passed away and he was the second owner. He would occasionally take it to car meets. and Car Shows. never sat for extended periods of time. Everything on the car seems to be original. and in Good condition for being 41 years old. The car has a 351 Cleveland and C6 automatic transmission New dual exhaust. Power Disc Brakes that really stop the car. safe at any speed. and also has Power Steering. Air Condition that has been converted over to R-134. It has the Original Factory Chrome Cougar wheels with all the center caps. new set of BFG Tires. The Original Dash is Very Nice. with no cracksI was told the carpet is Original. Looks in Good Shape. The Convertible Top is New and in Great Shape. The Top goes up and down with No Problems.
