Here we have a 1974 Mercury Comet. 2 door. It looks just like a Maverick with a different grill and tail lights. It is a 6 cylinder but an 8 can easily be installed. The body is in real nice condition. At one time it had some rear bottom quarter and bottom of the front fender repairs. The interior is in real nice original condition. the seats are worn especially in the center. The dash has a small crack in the center by the hula girl. Mechanically it runs good. it has some exhaust leaks. Someone changed the carb so now it needs the correct air cleaner. Underneath is pretty solid except for a small rust spot under the left front floor near the fender. I put some rust inhibitor on it. The tires are mediocre. Right now the car is currently PA Antique tagged. no inspection necessary. The antique tags are transferable in PA. with a 1 time registration. This is a beautiful car for its age. It is not perfect but it's 40 years old. It gets alot of looks and smiles. I have other cars and I just can't afford a storage unit fee right now. People go crazy over it at car shows and cruise nights. I forgot to mention I had a new vinyl top installed last month. There are no guarantees or warranties of any kind. The buyer is responsible to pay for the car in a timely manner and to pay for any title. registration fees. and transfer fees at time of transfer.
