Beautiful 1968 Mercury Parklane Convertible 428 with factory air conditioning for sale. This car has been beautifully restored and is a very rare car (only 204 of the 428 convertibles were made for this year). This car is equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power seats, and power top) The car came from the factory with a black interior, red exterior paint and a white top. During the restoration the car was made to look period correct and to replicate how it looked when it drove off the showroom floor. The car was repainted by Silvas Auto Body in Orange County, California with a nice PPG paint. The interior is new, top is new, tires and master cylinder are new, the C6 transmission has been rebuilt, a/c system was completely rebuilt including the compressor/condenser/all new a/c lines, the numbers matching 428 FE engine was freshened up with new oil pump, new pointless distributor with electronic ignition and msd coil (car starts right up very quickly) plug wires, plugs, new battery, new air filter, new water pump, new thermostat, new fuel pump, new lifters, new starter, new belts, new hoses, new a/c lines, engine compartment and engine was also repainted with new engine decals. All the original chrome parts on the car (front and rear bumpers, tail lights, emblems, headlight bezels, grill, etc etc) were all removed when the car was painted and were rechromed. All the trim on the entire car was all reconditioned and looks brand new. All the door rubber, trunk rubber and seals were all replaced, I also replaced the insulation under the hood. The exhaust is all original with a factory installed H pipe, I did have some spintech mufflers put on and they sound great. You won't find a turn key reliable convertible for this price anywhere!! This car has been in several parades, car events and is a blast to drive. If your looking for a fun, affordable, reliable driver that you can take the entire family to the car shows then look no further, this car can fit 6 people comfortably and has a huge trunk to fit chairs, ice chest, eazy up, etc etc. Drives really nice and has a very smooth and soft ride to it unlike most other classic cars out there that ride too stiff.
