Description for MG MGB 1975

1975 MGB Sports Car Anniversary Model LARGE pictures at end of this description Feel free to make an offer This is an excellent car there is a 13 minute video of the car showing what to inspect BEFORE buying any older car or MGB. I have bought and owned 100's of classic cars over the last 50 years. Some advice, uy quality at the lowest price. Buy a running car so you can enjoy it as you improve it. Buy a model with club and parts support. I once spent 2 years trying to locate a mechanical fuel pump for a rare car !!! These cars are FUN to drive as you sit so low to the ground, hey SOUND great and are attention getters. BAD they have no luggage room are noisy and not fun above 75 MPH on the highway

I always list as many defects I find so a buyer is not disappointed. I have been restoring and selling classic cars for 50 years. I hate complaints so I do my best to avoid them. Due to long term illness I have been selling many of my cars this year. I just have not been able to work on them. For sale in the future will be 2 Model T's another 2 Corvair convertibles, GREAT 1974 Gold Duster with new paint interior, ransmission (automatic) and a VW

This car runs great. I have rarely seen this Model MGB with as little rust and such a good interior. I have included videos of the MOST important part of buying an MGB the under carriage checking for rust. I have seen too many of these cars that are junk and unsafe due to just too much extensive rust. This one appears to just have surface rust chek out the videos There are videos of the under carriage. Dry storage available free for 30 days 3 dollars a day after that

Financing. What I do with many of my car sales like this one is agree to a down payment and monthly no interest payments. This allows a collector to get the car with a low down payment Once the car is paid off, ick it up. I keep the car insured so if it is stolen or destroyed in my possession of course full refund. If you find you can not afford it down the road you have the opportunity to either list it for sale yourself and keep any profit as long as I get my cash for the sales amount prior to the car release. ( There is a delay as I am very wary of scams where folks send you a fake cashiers check etc etc) I try and protect both myself and the buyer. I am not a dealer just an old mechanic collector I encourage inspections. If you inspect it prior to full payment within 45 days full refund if not as advertised. If as advertised and you just don't want it you get a refund minus 82 dollars for Ebay relist and 150 dollars for my time

OK so here are the facts

Nice MGB

Maintained by a local mechanical engineer prior to my purchase. I have only driven it 6 miles at our local airport

Manual choke added which I am told is a more reliable addition to the car. The car starts right up

Good body and interior no defects in the dash nice seats

White wall tires wire wheels

radio and fan work lights work

Defects,

Tachometer is intermittent at low engine rpm's

Drivers outside mirror is loose

Top is in good shape but two ¼ inch tear pinch points some gourmets and straps (there are many used to fasten this top torn or missing. On the back rear bottom piece where the right hook fastens to the body, orn. In summary top looks nice, re soft folds and is functional but could be replaced in the future

Tonneau cover as shown in the video has a hole I do not know how to put this on properly

door panels are good but drivers is loose at the bottom

On all my cars, f we agree on a price, will hold the car in dry inside storage insured while you pay it off. Free storage inside and insured for 30 days after the sale. After that you cover my cost of 3 dollars a day for storage and insurance

I suggest you visit a few web sites to study the MGB and also go the Haggerty Insurance web site; they list the trend value and values of classic cars and tell you have to evaluate them. Insurance is dirt cheap!

If you need transport I have used USHIP to ask for bids instead of just taking the EBAY USHIP quote

Here are NADA values for this car

Original $4,795

MSRP Low$5,800
Retail Average$10,400
Retail High$22,400

This car is for sale locally and listed on other sites. Feel free to make an offer. I will not be insulted. I may laugh at a 200 dollar bid but ? Auction will end if vehicle sold.

Greg EBAY will not let me respond to this message see the response below
your message: Dave, orry, lost our other messages that we communicate through and tried to send one from an old message I sent out but eBay gave me problems. Sorry I haven't had the chance to come get the motor. I have a busy work schedule and no days off now to run out your way. I would like to inform you if you want to repost the item for sale on eBay be my guest. I do not need a refund because it should cover all you costs for the transactions for your eBay sale and reposting it. I do appreciate the chance I had to try to get it. Sorry for the long delay in my ultimate decision to just give up trying. Thank you again for waiting patiently. I hope you make out and get someone who actually gets the motor and I do hope that the transaction we had does cover the costs you incurred. Again thank you, reg Gaylor
Greg no problem, will let the MGB fans see that I have an extra engine. It is a very cheap idea to have an extra engine just as a safe guard for extra parts if you ever need a crank valves etc. As with all my sales, f course I will relist the engine and when it sells send at least paert if not all refund back to you. Call me with your address email etc so i can get in contact. Dave kriegel 5745142359

Note please, he last pictures of the engine block are going to be listed for sale on ebay soon. Another MGB fan had bought it but can not get here to pick it up so i will re sell it If you want to buy this car I would recommend picking up this or another extra engine as they pay for themselfs many times over if you need a part, nbsp;Maybe not you but a buyer 50 years from now will appreciate having the parts !

Ok I am a bit embarrased. At the 8 minute mark of the film there is a short shot of a running CORVAIR not MGB engine !!! Poor film editing on my part
