I owned one of these cars when I was 17. did lots of the work myself and really enjoyed the car. drove it thousand of miles to school and back. This 1976 MG Midget in Red with a Black interior is in really nice shape. it runs and yard drives. the body has only very light surface rust. no holes and no rot. and with some minor work could be a really nice daily driver in the summer. The paint is decent. not perfect but good driver quality. and the interior is in very good shape as is the dash and steering wheel. This Midget starts. yard drives. shifts. and sounds just as it should with a charming throaty exhaust. Overall mechanically this car is in very good condition. the body is in very good condition. having not seen the outside for the last 15 years. and it drives as a Midget should. We purchased this car from a gentleman that had stored it in his basement for the last 10 years. out it came and with some work she now runs and yard drives. This is a later model Midget with the 1493cc engine with a single Stromberg carburetor all functioning as they should to produce 65hp which propel the car from 0-60 in approximately 11 seconds.
