Description for MG MGB 1974
1974 MGB restored from ground up in excellent condition. The car runs great and quiet with no road noise. The car was stripped down body was redone to remove the little spots at the bottom of the front fenders and patches were installed. the body was sealed prior to painting to ensure that finish was deep and rich. It was assembled with mostly new parts listed below so now is an eye catcher and is dependable as a new car. It is a numbers matching vehicle with a 1.8L motor and a 4 speed transmission.The head was redone a few years ago, nd the engine compression is great. The rear main seal was replaced and clutch slave and master cylinder, ressure plate and throw out bearing was also done as well which involved removing the motor and transmission from the car and resealing before reinstalling, hile the engine was out the starter was replaced to a more efficient unit,and an electronic distributor replaced the original points distributor set up. The valve cover and side pan gaskets were also replaced along with plugs wires and coil. The two barrel weber carburetor and fuel pump was also replaced and so was the cabling.The gas tank was removed and cleaned and replaced. The radiator was serviced and repainted and so was the oil cooler.New fan belt was also installed the alternator was also professionally rebuilt to factory standards.On the exterior, he below parts were replaced:4 new Falken TiresFronted Bumper and bumper guards. also have bumper guards for the rear which I have not installedChrome moldings on side of car were also replaced.Headlight rings are newAll door and truck locks are newside emblems are newdoor handles replacedDoor seals, indow seals, indshield seal, runk and hood seals were also replaced.Heat shield installed under hoodGas cap is new and so are the fasteners for the convertible top.Convertible top is newHood vent is also new as well as windshield wiper nozzlesOn the interior the below parts were replaced or redone:Seats were recovered, rm rest, oor panels and rear body molding.Carpets were replacedmats are newTachometer was replacedNew stereo and speakers installed. cover plate will come with car.new trunk carpet also installed.new visors and clips installedIndicator flasherNew rear view mirrornew ignition switchThe has had the original jack and also has a tonneau cover.This car was well put together and you will feel this when you drive. I have owned it now for three years and am the second owner. There is no visible rust on the car, he floor pans and trunk are solid and the underside has a thick layer of undercoating to prevent rust. I am selling as I have too many vehicles and I have enjoyed this one quite a bit. It would make a great christmas present for an MGB enthusiast and it will sure be a problem free investment.
