T-type MG's. offering better handling. better balance. and a simpler. more enjoyable driving experience. MGA's have a fantastic racing history and. soon after their introduction. became the emblem of an iconic transition in British automotives towards more light-balanced. agile. performance-oriented cars that took over the roads and the race-tracks in the 1960's. Of these iconic cars. only 2. 00 were Twin Cams. with more power and prestige than their standard MGA counterparts. Of those. only 323 were coupes. and of those 323. only 125 were left hand drive cars. All told. this car represents an extremely rare class of cars only 0. 1% of all MGA's ever manufactured were left hand drive. twin cam coupe cars. This 1960 MGA Twin Cam Coupe is an extremely straightforward restoration project. The frame is flawless with the original battery box still in tact. Although there is some surface rust on the inner rockers. it poses no threat to the integrity of the car. and the outer rockers are rust free. It has all the original disk wheels with knock-off's and four disk wheel brakes. The original colors were Old English White with a red interior. though the car has undergone one re-spray. changing the exterior color to red. Though we do not have the original twin cam motor. it currently has a 1600 motor installed which turns freely and will be perfect to get this car back on it's feet. When it comes to British vehicles. we here at Oxford Motorcars have seen it all and this is by far the best. most solid un-restored twin cam we have ever come across.
