This s a documented two owner car that still retains it's original ( with patina ) paint and it's original interior. Originally sold new By Richard Chevrolet ( MG dealer ) in Carpinteria. California on 05/22/73 to James Simonitsch of Ventura California. Mr. Simonitsch took very good care of it as indicated by it's original service booklet which shows all the required dealer maintenance until he sold it on 03/05/1974 to it's second owner. Paul Gibbins who also resided in California. It remained in California with Mr. Gibbins until 1984 when he moved to Connecticut. It was parked in a garage and remained there un-driven as indicated by it's last CT inspection sticker which expired on 02/15/1985. The car was not started for over 30 years. The fuel tank had sediment in it and we did not want to try to start it with the old gas and sediment. We made sure the engine was turning freely. changed the oil. added an external gas supply and low and behold. it started right up! It remains an extremely original example and with little effort. can be used as a daily driver or can be restored to it's former glory. There are no indications of any previous accident damage and the floors. rocker panels and body panels remain rust free. Chassis number GHN5UD295561 G remains a solid candidate for a restoration or driven as is with some attention and detailing. The car comes with it's original owners manual and stamped service book.
