Description for MG MGB 1978

This auction is for a very solid un-restored 1978 MG MGB. This auction includes FREE delivery up to 200 miles of Birmingham, Alabama, (after payment in full)
These little cars are getting pretty rare...especially in this original solid condition. This car looks GREAT from 10 feet away....but minor imperfections can be seen under closer inspection, as expected with any 38 year old un-restored sports car. Nothing major, just normal wear and use. The paint is the original color, 1978 MG Pageant Blue. Very solid car with no signs of rust holes or bubbles on the lower front fenders, cowl, rear quarters or rocker panels. Very solid platform for a fullconcursrestoration project...or you can use it as is for a fun little driver quality summer toy with only minor attention. One of the straightest bodies I've seen on an un-restored MG. All panels align up well and the door gaps look good.
NEW Tires on a beautiful set of wheels with correct MG center caps and beauty trim rings.
This car had been instoragefor many years. I'm listing it for a friend who must sell it quickly and needs the cash...so his loss can be your gain. This car is being sold with NO RESERVE..so the final high bidder will own this great little car. Car hascurrentregistration, tags and is currently insured. Clear registration in hand.
The original 1800cc 4 cylinder engine fires right up, runs and drives. No unusual noises and no smoke. Has been upgraded with aWebercarb and performance exhaust header. Engine is clean and runs well. Hasn't been used as a daily driver in many years...but does start up and drives. Clutch, brakes and transmission all work well.
The interior shows normal wear, as expected for a car of this age...but is inusablecondition. Original black vinyl interior. Dash has usual cracks, as do the seats. Speedometer lens is cracked..but that is a very inexpensive and quickrepair, (does not affect operation of speedo).

While this car does start, run and drive....it is best considered a project car. The paint, interior and trim are not perfect.Again...not aconcursnew condition $10K car....but it is an honest solid platform for a great little car needing only minor attention.
