Description for MG T-Series 1949
A historically significant car with a fascinating history back to its original construction date. This car was raced through the early part of its life and competed at Goodwood and several rallies, including the British International Rally and registered with the MG Registry. It was also the cover car for the T Register Yearbook. It's beenmeticulously maintained since 2007 (we don't know the maintenance history from the 70's when it came to the US until 2007) and comes complete with a log book (with pictures) detailing the work that has been done since 2007.
The mechanical components of the car have been completely gone through by JML Restorations and we will provide all receipts and photos of the work with the sale of the car. This includes a complete engine rebuild, radiator boiled out and refinished and gas tank completely refurbished. Additionally, it has new brakes and less than 300 miles since all this work was completed. It is a very well sorted car that drives great and draws attention where ever it goes. The supercharged engine gives it that extra little burst or power to really help the drivability.
The body work is in excellent condition and the very few blemishes it had were addressed during the mechanical restoration putting it into pristine condition. Overall, this is a car that you will enjoy and buy with piece of mind knowing the history and quality of the mechanical repairs. There may be some priced cheaper (and likely a few more expensive) but there are very few in this level of condition.
