Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very nice MGA Roadster. This car was just purchased out of a car collection in Minnesota where the older owner chose to downsize his MG collection. It is a lovely running and driving car. A few years ago it received a very high quality expensive urethane repaint (rarely seen to this high level on an MGA) in it’s original and pretty Chariot Red paintwork. At the time of the respray, this car also was treated to a new rubber kit, new set of tires, new front and rear bumpers with overriders, new black carpets, new black tonneau cover, owner’s manual. The car has been mechanically maintained as necessary by the collector’s local mechanic. Evidence of recent work includes brakes, regulator, battery, generator, radiator restore, and more. The car starts easily on the button with no smoke or noises, revs well, has excellent oil pressure (50-60psi at speed), and runs briskly and happily down the road. Steering, suspension, brakes, and gearbox are up to the mark. The wheels and tires are excellent. This lovely 1500 model presents crisply with its simple and clean steel wheels. The car’s underside is clean and detailed. The engine compartment is clean, well-preserved, and mostly original paint. The car’s interior is very nice with comfortable, worn-in black leather seats. The carpets have been renewed and the dashboard was correctly painted body color. The car is sold with a set of original, usable sidecurtains and a new tonneau cover. The car could use a few knick-knacks: The top frame has been painted and installed. A brand new, in the box, Robbins crush grain vinyl soft top is included but has not been fitted yet. New red door seals are provided and need to be installed. Overall, this very attractive and popular MGA presents a good opportunity to acquire a “ready to enjoy” classic Roadster for the fall. These MG’s have enjoyed good appreciation because of their daily usability factor and ease of driving with light controls. A very pretty, desirable sports car ready for lots of fun.
