Description for MG Midget 1964

Here is a nice 64 MG with undocumented 46.160 miles, (slowly growing). It's in very nice condition with nice shiny red paint, with very few small paint chips. I found this car in a garage and the owner needed to sell it after putting a lot of cash into it. I'm selling it because I'm a Chevy guy and I really don't know much about these cars. I will give you the best description I can. The engine, whatever size it is, runs great. Pull the manual choke a little and she pops right off. Speedometer, Tach, and other gauges (a couple aftermarket) work good, including gas gauge. Horn button on steering is missing but it has a push button. Has new tires and decent knock off wire wheels. Lights all work including blinkers. Wipers also work. Has a very nice tan soft top, (not shown, but I can get a pic.). The clutch slave was just checked and bled. Clutch works nice. It shifts through the gears and runs down the road great. Steering seems tight and doesn't wander much. The Transmission is a little noisy at take off, (like windey sounding), but two through four are quiet. I was told this is common. On to the body....Body is nice and straight. It may have had some bodywork, but if so, it doesn't look like much. Looking around and under the car, I find very little evidence of past rust. The floor has some repair spots looking from underneath. It has newer carpets also. Looks like this work was done well. The trunk looks very clean. Doors open and close nice, and all door latches work. Glass is all good. Brake work has been done and she stops very good. Windows go up and down but are sticky and should be looked at. Seats are pretty good with some fade and same for door panels. I was told by the last owner, somewhere along the way, the car was taken from its original red, and painted white. No clue why. But he restored it back to red. I see little evidence of this. The car is nice bright red again. I would say if the car needs anything, it's weather stripping. As you can imagine, it's old and brittle. The bumpers are shiny but scratched like old cars get. But they are quite respectable. So that's what I know. I will say, the car is solid and looks great. It's quite original and and goes down the road nice. I had it at a recent carnival car show, and while it didn't win anything. It was right at home there. Now, I'm not saying it's a show car, I don't think it is by my standards, but People commented how much they liked it. Remember, it's a 1964, and drives like it. But it's smooth and nice. It's also priced very right too. I wouldn't be afraid to take it anywhere. Sorry for the long add, but I want to explain everything I know about. Shipping will be buyers responsibility, and all payment must clear before the car leaves here. Good luck and thanks for looking. Also adding Late: engine code reads 10CG. So that should be original to the car. 12v pos ground.
