Description for MG MGB 1971

**ReListed due to scam bidder. Please be serious about following through if you place a bid!**Offered is a 1971 MGB GT. I obtained this original California blue plate car roughly 3 years ago. It had been off the road prior and stored for a number of years after it blew a head gasket. I obtained a rebuilt head, cleaned the fuel system, and got it running. There is still things left to do such as reassemble the cooling system water pump radiator and fan, tuning the carbs, putting the alternator in, etc. The hard part is done. Also needed to get it back on the road are the brakes, (calipers, pads, perhaps rotors) and a new clutch master cylinder ($59 here on eBay). It will need tires and a battery as well. All the original engine and trim parts are included but not shown such as air cleaners, original mirrors, etc. this was a fine running car from what the previous previous owner told me prior to it overheating from a coolant leak. The electrical seems to be good, the tail lights will need to be wired back up. The car was originally BRG, but it was painted black at one point. The side markers were removed and covered over to give it the 1st generation MGB GT look, and the aluminum trim painted black. There is some semi professional body work that was done, and I have to say it looks a bit better in the pics than close up, but it will make a nice driver for sure. The interior is in decent shape for the age, with the original tan seats. There is a fairly large hole in the drivers seat as shown. Cracks are evident in the dash, the trim is rough rough in spots, door panels etc, but the headliner looks pretty nice. Concerning rust, it appears solid to my eyes. The floors are good and I see prior rust repair to the rockers and lower wheel arches. The passenger side rail on the underside pan is rusted through as shown in the pic. It runs along the length of the door. The jack points on both sides are intact. I think the rust is isolated to this one spot where trapped water pooled up. Please note if you are a California buyer that the car owes $700 back fees on the last 3 years. I didn't transfer it and do non op. The title is in hand and I can provide any other answers to questions you might have. I won't likely be available to show the car due to my out of town schedule but I will do my best if someone wanted to see it. This will make an easy affordable GT project at a great price or a fantastic base for V8 swap if you had that idea in mind as well. I am willing to store the car for up to 3 weeks for buyer to arrange pick up or shipping, however payment is due within 5 days. Those MG will be sold as is.
