Description for MG MGB 1963

This auction is for a rare find. a rust free 1963 MGB Roadster. with the early pull out door handles. The car is quite an original car. with good brakes. and good tires. It has had a new battery. service and tune –up recently and the car runs and drives well. Car comes with a clear California title; however it is not currently registered. The engine is believed to be the original unit the car came with. It starts from cold easily with choke and idles smoothly with the original twin S. U carburetor set up. Motor feels strong and smooth. Just changed the oil and filter. and replaced with correct classic motor oil. The gear box (fresh oil too) is the original 4 speed. non synchro first and does not whine or grinds and 2nd gear synchro works well. The rear axle is nice and quiet. The car could do with a set of rubber transmission mounts that being said when driving the car you wouldn’t notice. The drive train overall is in good shape. The brakes were recently inspected and it stops well. no wobble. fuss or noise. The brake pedal feels nice and firm. the way it should. The interior is in good shape. and is quite complete. The windshield does have a crack in it; luckily it is behind the center mirror support rod and is not in the line of vision. The rest of the glass is good. The driver side quarterlight is missing its handle. The horn is not working currently. but the turn signals function properly and cancel as they should. The speedometer is not currently reading. and the heater is not blowing hot. The fuel gauge. the tachometer. and the oil pressure gauge are all working fine. The temperature gauge is not functioning. that being said the car does not run hot. . The exterior paint is not show quality. but is in decent usable shape. and has a nice shine; no major dents or dings. This car is rust free. The car is riding on original knock off style chrome rims. they look great. no broken or loose spokes. and all four tires have lots of tread. All of the exterior lights and signals work correctly. The car has good straight chrome bumpers. which have a very nice shine; overall this is a very good looking car. There is decent chrome spare in the trunk. but no convertible top or frame. On the road the car drives lovely. no bonks or knocks. car drives straight and smooth with a quite exhaust system. It’s a very nice original car. with a lot of potential. or could be enjoyed as it is now. Bid to buy with confidence. this car will not disappoint. I try to fully describe the cars I sell so you can make an informed decision when bidding. We have sold many exotic cars on e-bay with only 100% positive feedback.
