Description for MG MGB 1972
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1972 MG BGT for your consideration. a small but spirited 1800cc 4-cylinder engine. Paired with the 4-cylinder is a 4-speed manual transmission that is strong in every gear. MG asked Pininfarina to design the hatchback version of their immensely popular MG B roadster. The BGT increased stiffness which therefore made it more fun to drive to some people. This example is finished in burnt orange paint that shows some fading.... It also has unique pin-striping throughout the exterior. It rides on 14-inch Rostyle wheels and comes with a full-size spare tire. Inside one will find black leather seats with blue cloth inserts, and a black dashboard. This car looks the part of a sporty little car and is ready to go cruising through the back roads of your city. Please call or email with any questions or for additional information. The MGB is a two-door sports car manufactured and marketed by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). Variants include the MG BGT three-door 2+2 coupé (1965â€"80). Mechanically, the MGB was little changed for 1972, retaining its 1,798cc pushrod engine, four-speed all-synchro transmission, and all the familiar running gear. The MG BGT sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina and launched the sporty "hatchback" style. By combining the sloping rear window with the rear deck lid, the BGT offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe.
