Description for MG MGB 1967
I have a total of three '67 B-GT's that I'm looking to sell on. These are located in Texas about 50 miles east of Dallas.
Car #1 - Early '67. BRG with Black interior. Heritage Certificate included. Rescued this car several years ago with the intention of factory original restoration. I bought the car from the original owners estate. The original owner was a NASA engineer in Houston and apparently wasn't happy with the performance of the original motor. He had a swap done with a Mazda rotary engine around 1972. Firewall was hacked up pretty badly. For some reason not to long afterwards it was parked in a storage building and left there until I rescued it 30+ years later. The car was complete...but not correct. The Mazda engine and transmission was pulled and given away and the body was stripped down to the shell and all small parts bagged and tagged. Many pictures were taken during the disassembly. Sandblasting was started on the engine bay to prepare for panel replacement. This is where the progress stalled due to a loss in the family where I no longer had the desire to continue.
The car was originally purchased with chrome wire wheels and overdrive transmission. A rebuilt correct overdrive transmission, driveshaft and ancillaries were sourced for the rebuild and are included.
Car #2 - Late '67 (with reverse lights) This car was obtained for possible parts donor and an easy project to finish. This one has had a 2001 Mazda Miata engine installed and is drive-able...sortof. It still needs an alternator mounted, the dash and gauges reinstalled and other minor things. This one has bolt on wheels.
Car #3 - Early '67. This is complete car (engine, trans, interior, etc) but is actually a parts car as it comes with NO TITLE. This car was obtained for the date-correct engine for Car #1 as well as a possibly body donor for Car #1 to eliminate the firewall work necessary.
I would like to get $5000 for all 3 cars and all parts (overdrive transmission, etc).
