Description for Mini Classic Mini 1976

For sale is a 1976 titled Classic Mini Cooper in right-hand drive. The car is at 1994 Rover Mini specifications with a 1.3 liter SPI injected motor and interior trim. Needs nothing other than a new home and attention to small items. It does get attention where ever it goes too! This is a rare Japanese spec Classic Mini car with factory air conditioning - and the A/C blows cold. We have owned this car since 2008. It doesn't get the attention it deserves at home and needs a new home. Fun car - drives like a large go-Kart, ith very responsive steering and suspension. Easily does 70-80 on the highway. Mechanically sound.
I upgraded to the safer 1996-2000 doors with internal side-protection crash bars for safety. The body was completely stripped, few small rusted bits were cut out and new sheet metal welded in in 2008 with protective undercoat applied. No rust on this beauty! Both door skins replaced at that time and everything painted a matching red with white racing stripes on the hood and solid white roof. Instrument cluster converted to MPH from KPH with correct mileage. Magnolia dash.
Rear shelf has radio speakers, ut DIN blanking plate installed in dash as Japan spec radio never replaced with a US one - easy to add a radio.
Just passed PA state inspection after pictures were taken. I replaced the exhaust flex pipe, nd wiper blades. New rear window seal and trim installed. Previous work: clutch, utput seals, ew thermostat, /C recharge, rake pads, ew rear brake cylinder, aillight seals, iper arms, lutch master cylinder, eneral tune-up, ella H4 LHD headlights, ED brake lights, nd in-tank fuel pump. Parts readily available from US sources or from the UK. Parts CD included as well as the Hayes manual - if I can find it.
Needs minor work on non-critical systems, ut nothing to prevent you from driving it home and enjoying it immediately. Mileage may change slightly as I still drive it, ut won't be up by more than 100 miles.
It's small, nique, ool, nd a real eye-catcher.
