1965 Midas Gold Mini powered great little car very quick.

Selling a very decent albeit not perfect Midas Gold registered as a 1965 but actually built in 1978. one of about 300 made. No signs of accident or damage. no rust. very straight old car. shiny but could well do with new paint. 1275 CC mini engine engine number 12H08AA 106115 according to the guys at Mini Mania this is the strongest variation of 1275 that was available. The vehicle came originally from California went to New York and that is where I acquired it from. I have had the car for several years and. while I like it very much I have too many cars. Some need to go. Recent work includes an new head gasket and some of the body gaskets replaced (Windshield gasket and door belt moldingsBrakes are excellent and work fine Not however power assist. so requires a little more pedal pressure than most people are used to. Disc brakes up front and drum in the rear. The car is also has been converted to coil springs which is a nice addition to a Mini. The suspension and steering are tight and nice. All lights and accessories work just fine. Speedometer. tachometer and radio and are not working at the moment. and I have not spent any time to figure out why. Everything else on the car seems to work just fine. have not tried the rear window defroster. Tires are excellent and it has Cosmic brand wheels. the spare could stand to be repainted it is pretty uglyThere is a bag of extra gaskets included in the car. Exhaust is good condition. Interior is very nice always room or improvement but still in all there are no tears in the seats and the carpets are decent and quite serviceable. You could enjoy the car pretty much just as is or you could elect to make it nicer than it is. A good color sand and buff out would benefit the car greatly. and there seems to be plenty of paint on the car if you choose to do that. drivers door needs minor adjustment (nit picking now) and also needs new opening seals (universal style clip on seals) Car is registered in Washington state and current plates are collector plates.
