Description for Mitsubishi 3000GT 1991
Hello up for bidding i have my 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 along with another 1992 3000gt VR4 parts car. But back to the first car, t is a 91 red vr4. it has been my project car for the last 6 months or so. I pulled out the motor and trans. On the trans i put in a new stage 3 clutch, ith lightweight flywheel. Trans was bolted back up to the motor and new fluids were added to the trans, s well as the transfer case. The motor received several upgrades, t has td05 evo III turbos. Im not for sure at the moment if they are 15g or 16g turbos, ut they are evo III's. they also have around 20k on the turbos. I also have a dejon intakes, nd front mount intercooler with all aluminum pipping. I installed new 3sx 3rd generation big bore lifters to help with the lifter tick typically assosiated with these cars. For fuel i am running 1000CC E85 deautshwerks injectors and a walbro 450 lph E85 pump. I also have installed a new fuel pressure regualotar that is adjustable, o you can turn up the boost. Now since the stock ecu's on the car is not tuneable, do have a chrome ecu installed, t is a tunable car that can be tuned by evoscan or other tunning softwares. It also converts the car from obd1 to obd2.i have a upgraded oil cooler sitting next to the front mount to help keep things cool. It has a 3sx short throw shifter installed, ewer clarion cd player and upgraded door speakers. I have new gauges in consisting of a AEM air fuel ratio gauge, new prosport boost gauge along with a prosport oil pressure gauge since stock gauges are very unaccurate. Its got new plugs, ires, nd new coil packs. New gaskets on both valve covers along with new intake manifold gaskets. The timing belt/water pump/ tensioner were done by the previous owner within the last 20-25k miles. Timing belt looks to be new and in great shape. I put in a new serpentine belt, s well as new thermostat. I have new ball joints and tierods that i have to instal as well. The car comes with stock rims, ith decent tires that are starting to dry rot however. Im sure i am missing many items, ut this is most of what comes to mind. On a conservatice tune, unning 18psi and E85 car should make close to 500HP if not more. On a more edgey tune should be in the mid 500HP or higher. Build the motor and your ready for 700-800hp before turbos/injectors/pump neeed to be touched again. Issues with the car: It wont start, had it figured out down to injectors werent pulsing/firing. I was in the process of finding out why when something more bizar happened. The car went from cranking and not starting to only clicking. And somehow the fuel pump went from only running when the car is being cranked/running to running as soon as you turn the key one click over (doesnt matter if you are cranking it or not). Also, hen you hit the gas pedal the fuel pump turns off, gain regardless if you are cranking the car over or not. Ive never seen or heard anything like that before, am researching that issue currently. But it was cranking normally until today, ot sure what i did to swith things around while i was trouble shooting the inejctor issue, ut I will try to get it figured out before i sell it. Wether or not the car will be running i dont know (prob not i will be working late all week) but i will continue to read up and trouble shoot to get it straightened out before it sells. So for now, ets say the car isnt running due to the injector not firing issue. The car will also need some body work, he clear is fading and it appears that possibly someone may have used bondo or something on the rear quarter panel, was planning on cutting and welding the panel off the silver car and removing that section completly. It willl also need the drivers side window fixed as it seems to have come off the track and falls into the door, ilver car has working windows for any parts needed to fix that window. The drivers chair will need to be replaced it is all torn apart, do have a decent shape passanger chair that can be used but still will need drivers chair. The interior is in good shape, inus the dash vent defrosters on the windshield they are cracked (common on these cars). Between both cars, ou shouldnt need to buy may interior pieces, f any. PARTS CAR! Comes with a shell, 0% of the interior, he motor, rans and transfer case, riveshaft, nd complete rear end including the all wheel steering. I have kept alot of the spare parts as i removed them, ther then what was no good or unusable. They will be included, ctually everything i have for the car will be included I am moving on from building cars, have lost interest and frankly dont have time.
